Mr. Brett Miller is the Technical Director in charge of metallurgical failure analysis at IMR Test Labs —Louisville, a subsidiary of Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies. IMR Test Labs is an independent materials testing company. He has performed thousands of industrial failure analyses for diverse clients including those in aerospace, refinery, power generation, pipeline, transportation, and litigation. In addition, Mr. Miller takes a leading role in training new failure analysts and material scientists. To complement his in-house training work, he has taught ASM International failure analysis courses and other metallurgical content at local, national and international levels. He is a licensed professional engineer in Kentucky and Wisconsin, as well as an American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (CWI). He is a Fellow of ASM International (FASM) and a Curtiss-Wright Technical Fellow.

Dr. Howard Kuhn is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, Swanson School of Engineering, where he teaches courses in manufacturing and additive manufacturing and performs research on additive manufacturing for tissue engineering. He also presents tailored professional development courses on powder metallurgy and additive manufacturing to industrial and government facilities.
