NASA’s Curiosity Rover Report: Rover Walkabout
Curiosity wraps up an investigation at Mars’ Pink Cliffs while trying out a style of exploration used by geologists on Earth called “the walkabout.” Be sure to see Dr. John Grotzinger, chief scientist and head of strategic science planning for NASA’s $2.5 billion Curiosity rover mission to Mars in the keynote session at this year’s co-located triple tradeshow event featuring the International Thermal Spray Conference and Exhibition (ITSC), AeroMat 2015, and an IMS topical event, May 11-15, in Long Beach, Calif. Dr. Grotzinger will describe what the rover has discovered since landing on the Red Planet, and how the Mars Science Laboratory onboard Curiosity will continue the search for signs of extraterrestrial life.
This year, for the price of one registration fee, attendees will gain access to technical programming for all three conferences. The theme of AeroMat 2015 is “Shape the Future of Your Industry,” while IMS focuses on the “Microstructural Characterization of Aerospace Materials and Coatings.” Between all three conferences, attendees will have access to more than 400 technical presentations and numerous networking events.
