The Millau Viaduct Bridge: “One of the Great Engineering Achievements of All Time”
The Millau Viaduct bridge was built along the A75-A71 route from France to Spain, across the Tarn River valley. The bridge spans 8200 feet and is 660 feet above the river. It has been consistently ranked as one of the great engineering achievements of all time. Its designers received the 2006 International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering “Outstanding Structure” award.
