SPECIAL NOTES

CONFERENCE MANUSCRIPT INFORMATION
Authors whose abstracts are accepted for the Heat Treat 2027 Technical Program will be encouraged to submit a full manuscript of 6–8 pages for consideration in the Heat Treat 2027 Conference Proceedings.

Important: A full manuscript is not required to present at Heat Treat 2027. Authors may participate as presenters without submitting an extended abstract or full manuscript.

The first draft of the manuscript is due May 21, 2027, with author feedback provided by June 21, 2027. Final manuscripts are due July 5, 2027.

PRESENTATION DETAILS
Each oral presentation is scheduled for 20 minutes, including questions and answers. Meeting rooms are equipped with a computer (with USB capability), microphone, laser pointer, screen and data projector. You will be required to bring your presentation with you to the conference on a USB flash drive and upload it to the provided laptop prior to the start of your session.

MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSIONS
Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance (JMEP)
Authors of high-quality completed manuscripts may be invited to submit to a special heat treat focus issue of the Journal of Materials Engineering & Performance. Please indicate your interest in that option when submitting your abstract. All of the papers that appear in JMEP are published on SpringerLink and indexed by GoogleScholar.

Your full-length manuscript will be placed through the same rigorous review process as is typical for this journal and must be accepted by the reviewers and editors in order to be included in this special issue. Please note that it is typical to extend on the content of the original submission by providing additional details on your methodology, results, and analysis by way of more in-depth discussion, and expanding the reference list. This will enhance the quality of your manuscript and the ultimate usefulness of your research work.

POSTER PRESENTATION DETAIL

Authors are required to present their poster to conference attendees during the poster session. A brief summary of your research that you can deliver in about 3 minutes. Be ready to answer questions and engage in discussions with those who stop by your poster. The maximum size for a conference poster is 4 feet wide by 4 feet high (1.2 meters by 1.2 meters). Make sure your poster fits within these dimensions and is easy to read from a distance of about 5 feet (1.5 meters). Pins will be provided for hanging the poster onsite.

Note: Posters should be brought to the event. Printing is not available on-site.
