Materion Corp., Mayfield Heights, Ohio, announces that it has completed the acquisition of Optics Balzers AG, creating an optical thin film coating solutions provider with a highly complementary geographic, product, and end-market portfolio.
Complementary technologies across the electromagnetic spectrum boost the capabilities of the combined business and position Materion to capitalize on key megatrends to drive topline growth. The takeover is a long-term commitment to the markets and production sites of Optics Balzers: The company will be an important part in Materion‘s Precision Coatings Division.
