Norman Noble Inc., Highland Heights, Ohio, announces that it has begun improvements on a new 50,000-square-foot facility that will provide additional manufacturing space to meet medical OEM customers’ growing requirements. The new facility will enable production of nitinol-based structural heart implants and neurovascular devices, as well as multileaf collimator (MLC) assemblies used in cancer radiation therapy equipment.
Norman Noble COO Chris Noble explains that “the additional facility is needed to support demand growth for next-gen products. The additional space will also provide our customers with production surge capacity. We are very excited to grow our facilities and expand our team of highly skilled associates as we continue to strengthen our partnerships with the world’s largest medical companies.”
Norman Noble is known for its exceptional ability to micromachine nitinol implants and to achieve subminiature precision beyond the reach of most manufacturers. It is a supplier to most of the largest OEMs and well-known names in the medical device industry.
State-of-the-art processes include laser machining and welding, Swiss turning and milling, conventional and wire EDM, high-speed seven-axis contour milling, nitinol shape setting, and clean room assembly and packaging. Rapid prototype services are available in separate and fully dedicated process development centers. The new facility is scheduled to be operational in Q4-2020.
