Bodycote, UK, has announced that their coating solutions have been approved by Cameron Schlumberger. The approval recognizes Bodycote’s Knowsley facility as a center of excellence for providing thermal coatings and K-Tech ceramic coating solutions to oil & gas and industrial gas turbines.
Bodycote has recently invested in a new process line to service the gates and seat markets. In the oilfield, gate valves are constantly subjected to high pressures and hostile environmental conditions. To maintain a tight seal when open or closed, the valve stems, seats, and gates must be protected from the elements at all times. Bodycote’s surface technology solutions provide sealing properties and superior resistance to hostile operating conditions causing corrosion, galling, and wear.
