EFD Induction India has launched a new solar power system. The first phase of this system is expected to cover 15% of the power consumption and to save 175 tonnes of CO2 emissions every year.
“I am very pleased to present our new solar power system which will contribute to make our operation here at EFD Induction India even more sustainable”, said managing director Vishal Lodha. The guest list included the Ambassador of Norway to India, H.E. Mr. Hans Jacob Frydenlund, and the Director of Innovation Norway’s operations in India, Mr. Cristian Valdes Carter, CEO and Chairman of the Board for EFD Induction India, Mr. Bjørn Eldar Petersen, along with the Vice President for operations in Asia, Mr. Qin Song.
The solar panels, which are delivered by Amplus Solar, are placed on top of the covered parking lot for electric vehicles. The capacity of the first phase of the system is 122 kWp (peak power capability). “The planned capacity of phase 2, which will be placed on the roof of our building, is 250kWp”, Lodha said. “That is half our power need.”
