Department of Materials Engineering Labs (Onsite Tour)

Explore the Main Workshop Hall and the Department of Materials Engineering labs on a guided tour. Highlights include the WSP/WSP-H development booth, RF/ICP spraytorch, cold spray booth, and DME analytical labs featuring HR-SEM, XRD/XRF, thermal and mechanical testing, heat treatment, and sample preparation.

Attendees will see cutting-edge research in action and, if safety allows, may also have the opportunity to view the new IPP tokamak COMPASS-U currently under construction.

DME Heavy Laboratory LPT (Offsite Tour – 15 minutes bus ride provided)

Visit the DME Heavy Laboratory LPT to explore the WSP-H sprayshop and Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) facilities, where advanced materials processing and high-performance coatings are developed. Attendees will experience cutting-edge materials research and state-of-the-art materials processing in one immersive visit.
