More robust and user-friendly deck straightening tool

EFD Induction, Skien, Norway, has upgraded the Terac system, which uses induction heating for deck straightening with a new professional look and improved handling properties.

In addition to the housing, the exit for the water-cooled power cable has been moved from the top to the rear. It now comes out horizontally and rests on its own little trolleys, which not only increases mobility and stability, but protects against wear and tear as well.

“We have listened to what our customers had to say and looked at all issues that have been reported from the field”, said project manager Leif Helge. “For example, based on the feedback from operators, the handlebar has been modified and is now both stronger and more comfortable to use.” In addition, a new 3D printed handle switch box also improves the ergonomic qualities. The actual power source is upgraded to a Sinac v3 frequency converter.
