Long-time Metallurgical and Materials Transactions production editor Dora Moscatello will retire on June 30. Moscatello has been production editor of the Met Trans journals since 1985. Metallurgical and Materials Transactions A, B, and E are jointly published by ASM International and TMS.
“We deeply appreciate Dora’s many contributions to the quality of the Met Trans journals during the last 30 years,” says Mary Anne Fleming, ASM’s Senior Content Developer for Journals and ASM staff representative to the ASM & TMS Joint Commission for Metallurgical and Materials Transactions. “She will be greatly missed! We wish Dora all the best for a long, healthy, and happy retirement.”
Beginning July 1, the editorial office will be managed by KWF Editorial Services, a contracted editorial services company. KWF has many years of experience managing editorial offices for a variety of journals, including TMS’s Journal of Electronic Materials and JOM. The editorial office work will continue to be overseen by the ASM/TMS Joint Managers; however, as of July, the work will no longer be done at Carnegie Mellon University.
The manuscript submission and peer review platform will not change. Key Readers, reviewers, and authors should expect a high level of professionalism and productivity from the new journal contractors.
Members of the Met Trans team at KWF include Karen Doyle, managing editor; Kathleen Gualtieri, assistant managing editor; and Greg Matiasevich, assistant production editor. For any questions please contact the new editorial office. The office also can be reached at 610.431.3963.
