This technology has emerged in recent years as a reliable and viable option for the delivery of sub-micron powders for engineered surfaces in demanding applications, across a variety of industries.
This new technology is slowly gaining recognition for its ability to create unique surface structures that could not be achieved with conventional feed technologies. It is suitable for applications ranging from thermal barrier coatings for gas turbine hot-path parts, to environmental barrier coatings. It has the potential to be a truly disruptive technology for thermal spray.
